Unveiling 'Teaching with ChatGPT'

Last week we were delighted to host Revolutionising lesson planning: Unveiling 'Teaching with ChatGPT', a webinar for both tutors and teachers on the future of AI in education and how it can save time and resource went creating content for lessons

Published:

  • Time to read: 5 minutes (plus 25 minute video)

The webinar was led by Olivia Wilkinson from Bain & Company, with whom we worked, alongside the Hg Foundation, on their groundbreaking online resource 'Teaching with ChatGPT,' which explores how generative AI can revolutionise lesson planning

As part of ongoing learning and growth opportunities for tutors, we often have external speakers running sessions on different subjects, but this is the first time that we have opened up the session to teachers and the response was extremely positive. As well as a strong representation from teachers from across our three city regions, we had attendees from schools as far away as Nottingham, Cumbria and Swansea.

Matt and Olivia present an educators' perspective on utilising AI in the classroom

Hosting this webinar continues to show our commitment to embracing AI as an organisation. In January this year, Tutor Trust staff attended a workshop showing how AI could be used in all roles to improve creativity, efficiency and innovation. AI has now become an everyday tool that we use in all areas of our business.

Matt Wallis, featured in the webinar says:

We were so pleased to be able to host Olivia and hear her share her expertise on AI and how it can be used in the classroom as well as in tutoring sessions. Since taking part in the research project with Bain & Company and the Hg Foundation, we’ve really encouraged all our tutors to embrace AI in planning sessions as well as creating engaging resources for pupils."
Matt Wallis, Director of Quality and Impact

He went on to say:

"This is the first time that we’ve opened up one of our sessions to teachers and it was great to see that it was so positively received. We’re excited to look ahead to future sessions which may be of interest to teachers and to be able to share the knowledge and expertise of our staff and partners.”
